Tujereng is a typical African village situated between Tanji and Sanyang villages with a daily produce market and a few small shops. Here you will see real everyday African life going on. There are no local bars or restaurants so, if you fancy a night out in the developed Senegambia tourist area, Moses will deliver you there and bring you home safely as a taxi service. Moses has a wealth of local knowledge and will be happy to take you on trips to well known, as well as lesser known, places of interest. He will be happy to act as guide if you wish and to help you with purchasing and bartering. |

We can offer you bicycles for hire or we will drive you to and collect you from our nearby beautiful sand beach where you might like to spend time relaxing under the thatched sun-shelters and enjoy a fresh fish lunch at the small, friendly restaurant there. The beach is otherwise completely undeveloped with therefore no hustlers or annoying traders. You can walk for miles in either direction collecting shells or watch the fishermen bringing in their boats or see the cattle take their late afternoon stroll along the shore line! If you like to walk, there is an easy-to-follow, marked track from the lodges through open bushland to the main road (excellent bird watching on the way) and then, after a short roadside section, along another arrowed country track to the beach ( between 1 to 1 and a half hour's walk) A further 35 minutes along the shore takes you to a local fish shack where you can relax and eat the catch of the day. We will be happy to collect you if you feel like a lift back! |
